Footy At Telstra Dome

Meant to put this up earlier, but due to my very busy schedule..... hehheh... anyway, my very first and possibly last footy game on 21 May 2005. Can't leave Melbourne without watching a footy game....... And many thanks to Chris and Ruth who gave a brief and concise crash course of the game to facilitate my understanding. Game is not as bad as I imagined, pretty exciting with its momentum, considering it being half rugby. Enjoyed the night with good company.... now I will consider a pause before switching channels when they are on TV......heh!

Players running through a huge banner put together by supporters.
Banner got destroyed in split seconds! What a waste of efforts!

Scored! The 'pom-pom' cheerleading group in the background.

Tricks and Surprises

Life plays tricks on people....... I remembered saying this to a friend two days ago. And now, sitting here on a lazy morning, I am thinking about the coincidences, the chances, the destinies, the intuitions, and the surprises that life brings. Yes, surprises! I have always like surprises, often, ok correction.... used to spring surprises on people around me. It just gives me the joy to see the smiles on their faces.

Anyway, coming back to life.... did a mini reflection on my life, up till now XX years, and using the 'What if ' technique:

What if I have not been born in Singapore?
What if I have not been given the family I have now?
What if I have not studied in SAC?
What if I have not met the 'karkeys'?
What if I have continued with my last job?
What if I have never left the country?
What if I have never met you?
What if I have not been me?

Scary!
My mind took me to the worst places, and I am very glad to say that I am rather pleased with my life up till now. Phew! Although I can't say that there are absolutely no regrets, or there is nothing that I will like to change if I have a second opportunity, it has been many blessed years.

Life is full of surprises. When you receive a good surprise, you tend to embrace and love life a little better. When you receive a bad surprise, you wish it never happen. But guess we need to look a little beyond that and, accept and see things in a easier light. It may seem a little too easy to just pen these now in a few words, but we all need to do our best within our capabilities. We may not be able to predict what surprises are in stored for us, but can definitely control how we want to react to them. I look forward to what tomorrow may bring, and I hope you too.

What a 'life-ly' morning!
